Dude Pays Ticket with 137 Origami Pigs Made from One Dollar Bills

So this fellow named 'smoog' aka 'bacon moose' got "victimized" by a camera at an intersection when he was caught running a red light. He was PISSED. He claimed the "town where the cops (and absurd red-light cameras) are pretty much a money trap and that's it." So what did he do?

He paid the ticket by spending 6 hours crafting up 137 mini origami pigs made from $1 bills and shipped them off in dunkin doughnut boxes. You got them GOOD buddy. :/

Read on to see more of the prep work and a video.

Speed and red light cameras are an idiot tax, pure and simple.

The fact that he spent hours making the pigs because he wanted to cut a minute or two from his travel time - fail.

The fact that he backed down at the end like the little bitch he is? - Priceless

Those cameras are there to attempt to stop people like this guy from running red lights and probably causing a serious accident, since he is probably speeding to make the light. I'm sure he was in a terrific hurry to get somewhere REALLY important if he had the time to spare to make all of these origami pigs. Give me a friggin break!

Like many that run red lights or speed, they will call cameras 'stupid'. Spending hours making these things may seem like a way of getting back at the state, but there are four facts here 1. he ran a red light. 2. he wasted hours of his own unpaid time making pigs. 3.he paid his fine. 4.the state official was getting paid to count the money.

He never did run a red light, the tickets had to do with his registration stickers on his plates. He never caused harm to anybody and he made folded the pigs over the span of a few days. To you it may be a waste of time but he had a blast doing it also without being disrespectful to anybody. In the video he was pointing out that the speed cameras/red light cameras are flawed but that is not what the tickets are for.

I am the one who posted the video and I'll clarify a few things.

1) Like INSIDE SOURCE said, this wasn't a redlight ticket. He was close but not right on - it was for an inspection sticker. I had paid for a new one when I bought the car from a dealer, but the dealer never gave me it. When I showed the court proof of this, they pretty much said fuck off and wouldn't reduce the fine.

2) The reason I brought up the redlight cameras is the other reason I went this far. I do have a redlight ticket there, but that's something else, not this ticket. The ticket happened at night, I was coming upon an intersection with a camera making a left and had adequate time to go through the yellow. At the last minute I noticed something in the road (a box or something it looked like) and I slowed down so I could avoid it. The slowdown cost me time and I passed through the light exactly the same time the red switched over. It was less than .1 seconds into the red and the other lane hadn't even started moving yet, even if there were other cars there which there weren't. It's this kind of bullshit that makes me hate those redlight cameras, and why I pointed them out in the video.
