Origami Star Wars X-Wing Fighter Made From Pages of a Book

This is an X-wing fighter made out of the pages taken from the collection of three Star Wars books. The art of folding paper is strong with Jedi Wetcanvas.

"The ship is attached in five places to the book with wire. The wings are wired through the body of the book, which has a cardboard core to hold its shape. The torpedoes are also wired."

The Homemade X-Wing Fighter SoapBox Derby Race Car

Made for the NASRA this X-Wing Fighter was built to laser blast the competition off of the hill. With a painted on R2-D2 styrofoam doid and even a built in NES controller to controll spinning, this soapbox car only took about $75 to make. Quite economical!

"For the 2011 Nazareth Adult Soapbox Derby I wanted to design a car that people would like and made me feel heroic. So I decided I would model it after one of the most important vehicles of our nation’s history: the T-65 X-wing fighter"

Check out more pics from the race, where scored a dramatic win at the finish.
